

Earle J Hino Jr. of La Jolla passed away at his residence on Feb. 23rd 2019 at age 85. Earle is preceded in death by his parents Earle Sr. And Adeline Moore), his brother Warren, spouse Barbara and daughter Holly. Earle is survived by his sister Charlotte Donovan of North Carolina as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Earle is also survived by his loving companion Terry Heslin, her children Anita Davis and Jim Ihasz as well as 9 grand and 7 great-grand children.
Earle lived most of his life in Buffalo New York where he attended college, married, raised his daughter, and pursued a career in manufacturing while enjoying a wide variety of interests. Freemasonry was central to Earle's character. Most Worshipful Earle J. Hino, Jr., was nominated, elected and installed the Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York on May 2, 1995, an office he held with distinction for three consecutive years. Earle enjoyed all athletics, especially wrestling and Crew (rowing). Earle bred Great Danes and handled them in dog shows including Westminster. A proud patriot, he was stationed in Japan while in the Army. While touring the world's religious sites 20 years ago Earle met his Lady, Terry and he moved to La Jolla soon after. Earle enjoyed the beach, travel, dining, history, conversation and golf in his retirement years. A private celebration of Earle's life will be held at the Catamaran Resort March 30th at 11:30. Interment will be held at Miramar National Cemetery.
