Elida was such a blessing, there are countless people whose lives were touched in a special way by the encouragement and caring of your precious wife/mother. She made a beautiful difference in my life as  a childhood friend.  She left this world a better place for having been a part of it.  Ninett Nelson

I still cannot believe that Elida  is no longer with us. We have been very saddened by the passing of Elida. . She was such a wonderful warm and loving and caring daughter in Christ. She loved to laugh and she had a personality that made you feel you always wanted to be around her. She was so very devoted to her, dear husband, Pastor Mellas, and also in her service to her God. I will miss her warmth and the love that she shared so freely to everyone. She loved the color purple. You could not miss that. The color purple was so often present on her or with her which suited her so beautifully. I pray that God will strengthen you all during this time. May you, Pastor Mellas, Andrea, and the rest of the family feel the warm embrace of God’s  love holding and sustaining you during this very difficult time of bereavement. May her soul rest in peace..🙏🏽

My beautiful Tia, your smile and love you shared even when so much time had passed between seeing each-other will be missed. I will remember all the visits to Canada and how I loved singing all the kid songs with you like “he’s got the whole world in his hands.” Uncle Andy my heart breaks with this news but know that the love you and my auntie shared was so beautiful and inspiring. I love you both.

God granted me the opportunity to visit you last summer and spend the entire day with both of you. What a blessing it was! We laughed, reminisced, and shared a lovely time together. Auntie will always be remembered for her smile, love for God  and loving personality. - Yesenia Sánchez

We will always cherish the beautiful memories of Elida, especially the moments of praise and worship we shared together at the Rutland Church in Kelowna, Canada. As a fellow Guatemalan, she held a special place in our hearts and was always ready with a word of wisdom for me and my family whenever we needed encouragement.

Elida was truly a woman of God. Now she rests, waiting for the glorious day when Jesus will return to raise her up into His presence. Until then, dear sister, we hold on to the hope of seeing you again.

Remembering our beloved sister and dearest friend during Sabbath School with her wisest words of encouragement and devotion. It was always a great pleasure saying “Hi” and “Happy Sabbath” at the end of our church service right next to her husband at his right hand. A true servant of the Lord our God and Savior. Rest in peace dear sister…We will see you again in the presence of our Redeemer, Lord and  Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven.

Rest in eternal peace dear sister Mellas, was such a humble and sweet soul in Christ. My sincere condolences to her dear husband and family members in this sad time. May you find strength in the Lord. Greetings from Kaydean in Jamaica. Blessings.
