RANCHO BERNARDO — Heathcliff Faron Hatcher, 42, of San Diego, California, passed away on March 12, 2016 following a year-long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). His loving wife Suzanne and his identical twin brother, Major Dorian Hatcher, were at his side.
Heathcliff, a graduate of Texas State University, had a lifelong passion for design, electronics, video gaming and all things technology. While working his way through college, Heathcliff began his career with Sony Electronics in San Marcos, Texas and then relocated with the company to Rancho Bernardo, California in 2000. Intensity of purpose, innovation and drive defined Heathcliff’s 20-year career as a global marketing and business development executive in the technology industry. His professional history included employment with Sony Online Entertainment, Razer USA, Brain Corporation, Sound United and J!NX.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 11 years, Suzanne Ketcham Hatcher; deeply loved daughter, Audrey Rose, 19, and his son, Ian Myles, 6. Also surviving are his parents, Robert and Sandra Hatcher and Edward and Rita Carolan, and siblings, Krystal, Ashley, Meghan and Dorian. Heath will be missed by all: uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Rancho Bernardo Presbyterian Church.
