

James was born July 17, 1950 in Winchester, Massachusetts, son of the late James H. Hennessey and Mary Angela (McDonough) Hennessey.
James loved designing swimming pools, building, remodeling work, deep sea fishing, camping, and, sports.
Surviving family members include three sisters: Elizabeth Ellen Hennessey (Sister M. Gertrude, PSN), Mary Angela (Hennessey) Ayala of San Diego, and Grace Agnes (Hennessey) Worthy of El Cajon, CA; a brother and a sister-in-law Thomas and Jutta (Wenig) Hennessey of Odessa, TX. Three nieces: Michelle Marie Ayala-Morales of Palma, CA, Jennifer Ann (Hennessey) Anderson of Schaumburg, IL, Jamie Melissa Hennessey – O’Conner of Portland, OR; and one nephew: Charles Anthony Worthy of Winston-Salem, NC. Three grandnephews: Gabriel Michael Ayala of Palma, CA, Michael, Anthony Ayala of Palma, CA, Aidan Thomas Anderson of Schaumberg, IL, two grandnieces: Elliana Hennessey Anderson of Schaumberg, IL, Hazel Autum Hennessey-O’Connor of Portland, OR, and several cousins.
Preceding him in death were his brother Timothy Lewis Hennessey and children Shauna Kaye Hennessey and Golden Christopher Hennessey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16 from 2pm - 3pm at Nazareth House San Diego, CA.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00pm on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Nazareth House Chapel, 63333 Rancho Mission Road, San Diego, CA 92108
