I just heard of the passing of Melody today, and I  am quite shocked and saddened by the news. Like most others at Tensorcom, she was the first person I met when I joined the company, welcoming me with genuine kindness and warmth.  She was a kindhearted and delightful person, always doing her best to help others. May she rest in peace, and condolences to her family and friends.

     It has been one month since you left this world. I just simply can’t express my sadness. You were a  woman with so many good characteristics, friendly, diligent, self-reliant as an immigrant to US. You will be in my memories for ever as a good friend in my life.

Melody was such a kind, warm and energetic person that it's still hard for me to believe she had moved on. Like many others here, I feel blessed to have worked with and befriended Melody. Melody, I can hardly believe you are gone. When I was first informed of your passing, I couldn't believe it. Obituary pages had wrong birth day and wrong name, not Jiaer and missing Melody; you know me and skepticism. Even now, it feels surreal, and I wish you'd call to wake me from sleep.

When your passing was confirmed, I was reminded of long ago when we were joking about my lead. Yet you left so soon. You have enriched my life in so many ways, but the words fail me now to say good bye.

The heaven hyperventilated for your last days with unusual December Santa Ana winds in San Diego, and the earth trembles with huge increase in earthquakes in the western US as of late. The world shudders in echoing my sadness for losing you.

Thank you for having been a big part of my life. You were the embodiment of sweet innocence. Your joy filled smile and laughter will always live in my heart.

Dear Melody,

What a sudden hearing your departure. I would really hope it was  just a dream. 

It's my fortune to meet you at Tensorcom on my first day in my first job.  We knows  each other from the work, but ultimately becoming friends, though TC is gone.

Thanks to your kindness/encouragment,  the days in TC were filled with more color.  Your smile is always in my heart and will be forever.

You are the first person I remember meeting when I first arrived to San Diego. And you always be remembered as part of my journey in this country.  The memories of that day and all the years we worked together suddenly became so vivid that is hard to believe you left us. It's so hard to learn that you have left us. 

I'm grateful for having the opportunity to work with you at TensorCom, where you have been a super-girl, working tirelessly and taking care of everyone in the company, on so many things from admin, HR, payroll, immigration, team building events, to resolving some of our personal issues. I have always been amazed by your ability to manage so many things for work, while you can still take good care of your family, take lessons for self-enrichment, and make great food. And there is always a smile on your face even under difficult times.

Dear Melody, thank you for being a good friend and responsible colleague! 

I stayed  in Tensorcom and San Diego for a short 1 year and half, but gained tons of happiness  and good memories there, because of all those nice and lovely people around me, including you.

It comes to my mind all those interesting things we did together, Carlsbad flower field, birthdays, hotspots, color run, etc. I am honored to have witnessed your marriage with Damin and met your lovely daughter in person. 

I will remember all those happy moment we shared, but most of all, you, a kind and nice person.

I’m so sad and shocked hearing your leave. 

I joined Tensorcom as my first job. You were the HR who took care of everything and helped me in many basic work setups patiently. Besides of work, I also learnt a lot of experience of life from you. As a school mate, we shared stories of school as well. Your lunch always looks delicious and you would like to teach how to cook. When bad things happened to me in company, you were comforting me kindly. There are so many memories. 

Melody is a capable coworker, funny school mate, knowledgeable life teacher and a sincerely friend. I believe you will enjoy peace and happiness forever.

It is sad to hear Melody’s departure.
I got the chance to join Tensorcom and worked with her for a few years. Melody is one of the most important people making Tensorcom running well every day. Arranging our business trips, hotel reservations, and ordering delicious dinners, all of these let us focus on our works. I cannot imagine how to run a startup company without her.

Melody is a friendly, considerate, and capable person who always willing to help anyone. I heard Melody was fighting against the illness but have never imaged that can happen so fast. I learned a lot of things from her and I will always remember her.

Although only knowing you a few years, we had been close as sister.  We had spent a lot of time at Tea Station and Starbucks of Mira Mesa when I was in San Diego.  Your smile is always like sunshine warm us around you.

Dear Melody,

You were the first person I met at Tensorcom and one of my best friends there. I will always remember how kind, gentle and supportive you were to me.

We went to flower field together.  We went to whale watch together.  We celebrated our birthdays together.  I witnessed the ceremony when you tied the knot and I said hello to your lovely kids. 

You were like my sister.

I will celebrate our birthdays together till the day we met again.

Dear Melody,

I am in deep sorrow and regret that you have left us away.

We have so many memories at Tensorcom. I remember your first email  to me with Tensorcom offer letter that changed my career.

I recall that you were calling “Food is ready” every night to accompany me  for many years at Tensorcom.
