Dr. Jin Po (James) Lee, 79, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2021. Dr. Lee was born in Taipei, Taiwan, the third oldest of six brothers. After graduating from the University of Georgia, and pursuing his PhD at the University of Iowa, he began his journey to become one of the leading pioneers in the diagnostic field. He began his career at Sigma-Aldrich, and later pursued his dream of starting his own company, Leeco Diagnostics. After his success with Leeco, he focused his efforts in leading Syntron Bioresearch into three decades of innovation and development. He is remembered for carrying the company forward with his endless energy and vision.
Dr. Lee enjoyed spending time in the laboratory, but moreover; valued time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Chung-Mei (Joy) Lee, daughter Jennifer (and Dung Ngo), his son Jerry (and Hanna), and 2 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In the meantime, the family would appreciate reading messages and stories of your fondest memory of Dr. Lee .
