

San Diego, CA Leonor E. Yracheta, 74 a resident of San Diego, went to our heavenly father on Friday the 28th of February 2025 in her home of 34 years surrounded by her beloved family.
Leonor was born on July 1, 1950 in Dagupan City, Philippines to Urbano Rivera Estrellas & Narcisa Guzman Aquino. Leonor was the eldest of 8 children. Leonor held a degree in Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Orient Colleges Dagupan City, Philippines. In addition to obtaining three years of Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Pangasinan, Dagupan City, Philippines. Also, receiving some units in Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Houston- Victoria, Texas. Lastly, Leonor was a graduate from an eight week Airline Travel Coordinator course conducted by the International Airline Travel Career Personnel School in Oakland, CA.
Leonor came to the United States in the early years of 1974 to Oakland, CA where she met her beloved husband Jose Florentino Yracheta, on October 27, 1974 Leonor & Jose were married. Leonor & Jose were married for over 50 years.
Leonor was very dedicated to her profession as a Clerk. Leonor, worked for the city of Oakland, CA, the county of Alameda, Oakland CA, the county of Ventura, Ventura, CA,
Leonor worked for the state of California, then when Leonor moved with her husband Jose to San Diego, CA in 1987. Leonor worked for the federal government in San Diego, as a civil service supply clerk for 35 years.
Besides from her primary work in the federal government Leonor found the time to substitute as a Teacher for the school districts in Oxnard, CA, Port Hueneme, CA San Francisco, CA Beeville, TX, San Diego, CA Independent School District, Teacher in Child Care Development in Mira Mesa, CA also working for the YMCA & First United Methodist Church.
Leonor had a passion for Pageantry and held the following pageant titles Seabee Queen 1979, US Navy Construction Battalion Monterey, CA. Mrs. South County America 1994, Mrs, San Diego, America 1995 & Mrs. California All Nations of America 1996.
Leonor is survived by her husband Jose F. Yracheta, and their four children, son Joel E. Yracheta San Diego,CA son Joseph E. Yracheta San Diego,CA daughter Jocelyn E. Yracheta Shen San Diego, CA & son Jonas E. Yracheta, North Carolina. One son in law James M. Shen San Diego, CA & Two daughters in Laws Joan W. Yracheta San Diego, CA & Nicole M. Yracheta, North Carolina, and three grandchildren Brandon J. Yracheta Shen, Jesalyn E. Yracheta Shen, & Jamesen Leo E. Yracheta Shen.
Leonor was a devoted military wife, a hard working mom who was resilient in life. Leonor loved her family deeply, cared for her family’s well beings and always provided for her loved ones. Leonor was the matriarch of our family and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. Leonor will be forever in our hearts, always in our mind and will be remembered as a shining star that will never ever fade away.
A visitation for Leonor will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 15546 Pomerado Road, Poway, CA 92064. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 2:15 PM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.
