Louise (known as “Pat” to family and friends) was born in Brooklyn, New York. Her parents were John Austin Magrath and Johanna Marie Crisci. Married 65 years to husband, Charles Albert Saxon (died Oct. 1, 2013), she is survived by siblings Joan, Kathleen, Jackie; children Charles, Patricia, Steven; grand children Sean, Phillip, Kelly and Chad; and great grand children Daniel, Grant, Blake, Carter, Aubrie, Scarlett, and Kirra.
Since her Irish father died at an early age, Pat mostly identified with her Italian heritage and her mother’s side of the family. Her greatest childhood memories always seemed to include the family owned Crisci Restaurant/Bar that was established by her grandfather in Brooklyn standing for nearly 92 years. She enjoyed working at the stables and horseback riding in Central Park. She met her future husband, Chuck (a young sailor on leave in the city) while working as a hat check girl at a Manhattan night club. Married early at 19, Pat became a navy wife, worked as a saleswoman at May Company and raised her three children in San Diego, California where she lived until her passing. She had a big, generous heart and was loved by many. Every stranger became a friend. Pat was a force of nature and will be dearly missed.
