3 years ago on October 28, 2021 our world came to a stop. I think of you every day and miss you so much. I cannot yet and may never accept that you are gone from all of us that love you so much. You were my Tia but more like a big sister and you were my inspiration.  Te quiero mucho Lala- Maria Bonita!

Life is not the same without you Lala. You are with me every single day. I talk to you and imagine what you would say to me. We will see each other again, this I know. I miss you so much. Te quiero mucho Lala!

Mrs Garcia was always very welcoming when you came to her home. 
She will be missed by many. I am lucky to have met such a sweet caring soul.
 My condolences the Garcia sisters and their families. 

Lala was always there for me and my  children . My best friend Jeanette and I were so fortunate to always have the support of our moms when we were young, and when I had my first son Lala helped me so much. She had the biggest heart and she will be missed dearly. I owe her so many thanks for always being there for me and my son Tommy who has grown to be a successful and happy man. I will always remember her tamales, her smile, and her warm hugs. Thank you Lala for everything, you will live forever in my heart.

“Nana” was the matriarch of one of the kindest and most welcoming families I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She raised incredible daughters and cared for the BEST grandchildren. Being around her and her family always felt like home, but also a blast of a party. I’m so thankful that she and her family have been and continue to be a part of my life. 
My deepest condolences to the Nicolet, Garcia, and Klem families. She will be dearly missed.

Dear Garcia and Klem family. 
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful mother Maria/Lala. She was such a wonderful, generous and loving person.  I will cherish memories of tamale times and holiday celebrations with your family and your mom forever. 

I don’t know what to say honestly. Lala would watch me during the day when my parents worked. I remember watching her play cards and she eventually taught me the game of solitaire. Pancakes with sugar were and are my favorite breakfast. I didn’t know what syrup was for a long time. A lifetime of memories that I’ll never forget. I learned unconditional love from Lala. I know she’s reunited with my nana. I’m sure that was quite a reunion after 21 years they shared. I love you Lala. I miss you so much. Rest easy. Say hi to everyone we’ve lost. I know I’ll see you again one day. 

Mary my friend and very special neighbor, this saddens me to know that you won’t be across the street from us any longer, but oh boy the good old memories I have over 50 years of Them. I know the girls will continue the Christmas tradition oh THE TAMALES!!!!

Until we meet again...

This is a tough one to process. My Tia had so much life and laughter that I thought she would live forever. Throughout my childhood and entire life she had me laughing so much. She could liven up any gathering with laughter and you be ready to dance because she was always in a dancing mood. She was a young 87 with lots of life still in her. 

Her and my mom were inseparable, they did everything together. For the last 21 years she was the last living link to my mom. I pray for Tia Lala’s soul and that she has been reunited with her husband Frankie and with my mom and all the other relatives in Heaven. 

You will never be forgotten and you better believe we will still do tamales on Christmas Eve.

I woke up the day after Maria passed away, in a panic. I have never lived in a world without her. She is everything to me,my Tia, sister and best friend. 
Then I realized that she continues to live on in our hearts, minds and souls and is with us always and forever.  Maria is now in God's hands and with our departed family members in heaven. She is our most beautiful angel.  
Rest in Peace. 
Descanse en Paz.
