Masy Yim was born on August 4, 1918 in Joo Ru, a small village by a river off Kampong Cham, Cambodia. She married Thang Bar in 1934 and had 7 children. In 1972 when her husband passed she devoted herself to become a Buddhist nun for 45 years until her passing.
Masy is survived by her children and their spouses, Heik Yim & Var Heang, Kea Yim, Poa Yim, Vuthy & Sophala Yim, Nora Yim & Channa Sim, Vutha Yim & Bopha Vattey Yim. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Masy is preceded in death by her husband Thang Bar, and son Kim Heang Yim.
She was a wonderful person and will be missed by many.
