Maurice Tompkins

Born in Philadelphia, PA. on February 26,1928. Maurice was the beloved husband of Gypsi, and father to Maurice, Robert, Richard, and Michael.

Today we remember the life of Maurice Tompkins, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and faithful friend. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for General Dynamics for 40 years.

Maurice lived a full and generous life. His love was his greatest gift to us. He shared it through storytelling, music, cooking, gardening, and laughter. He will be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. He enjoyed travelling, watching baseball, movies, dancing, and most of all, spending time with his family.

We will always think of him when we are doing the things he enjoyed. Through hard work, he laid a path for his children and grandchildren to have successful lives. He will forever be remembered for being authentic to himself and others.

Maurice is survived by his lovely wife of 72 years, Gypsi, his four sons Maurice, Robert, Richard, and Michael, nine grandchildren, Christopher, Allison, Autumn, Breeann, Trevor, Richard II, Brooke, Michael, Anthony, and nine great grandchildren, with another on the way.
