Orlando “Orly” Manahan Alcaraz passed away on Sunday evening of November 13th, 2016 with his family by his side. He was 61 years old. Orly was born on December 21st, 1954 in Olongapo City, Philippines. After attending St. Joseph’s School, he attended Columban College prior to joining the United States Navy in 1976. After the first of three active duty tours in the Navy, Orly went on to become a mailman with the United States Postal Service in 1983. While with the USPS, he joined the Navy Reserves where he proceeded to be called up for active duty two more times including service post 9/11. He worked for the USPS for over 33 years. Orly loved people and was loved by all - family, friends, and coworkers. Orly was a huge fan of sports and had a passion for bowling. On a Friday evening February 24th, 2006 he bowled a perfect 300 game. He is survived by his father Felipe, mother Asuncion, brothers Gary and Noel, sister Alma, his loving wife of 38 years Rossana, children OJ and Janet, and much adored granddaughter Emma Rose.
