

Prudencio Navarro Diaz, a brave and compassionate man, passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on April 27, 1948, in Estanza, Philippines, Prudencio was one of eight children. He completed his high school education in his hometown before moving to the United States in 1968.
In 1968, Prudencio joined the U.S. Navy, embarking on a devoted and hard-working twenty-year career, during which he served with distinction in Vietnam. After his retirement from the military, he continued to exemplify resilience and generosity in all aspects of his life.
Prudencio married his high school sweetheart, Yolanda, in 1970. Together, they built a loving family, raising three sons: Ramel, Walter, and Jeremy. Prudencio was a protective and faithful family man, cherishing his role as a father and grandfather to his eight grandchildren.
A fan of the Chargers and Padres, Prudencio enjoyed sharing his love for sports with family and friends. His dedication to his family and his interests exemplified his generous spirit and unwavering devotion.
A viewing will be held at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121, on October 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral mass will take place at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8200 Gold Coast Dr, San Diego, CA 92126, on October 8, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following the mass, a committal service will be held at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122, from 1:15 pm to 1:45 pm.
Prudencio Navarro Diaz will be fondly remembered for his bravery, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family and country.
