Roberto was one of the most polite, gentle, honest men I knew.  He always had something positive to say to you.  He was a GREAT co-worker, always ready to help, an AWESOME engineer.   Roberto may you rest in God’s loving arms, Amen 🙏.

I worked with Roberto at NAVSEACENPAC Code 710/301 in San Diego. Roberto was a very pleasant man to work with. Always a gentleman. No matter what the circumstance.  Roberto was not a selfish man. If you had a problem with a piece of shipboard equipment? Ask Roberto. He would  share  his knowledge  freely. I would always learn something new. He had no problem educating anyone who would ask for help. Roberto has left us. But, for me? Roberto has left me with nothing but pleasant Memories......of a Kind and Gentle Man. Rest in Peace Shipmate.  And my God Bless and keep your family safe.

To Leni and the rest of the Marfori family words cannot express the sorrow I have in my heart at the loss of Roberto.  I feel like I've lost another father.  I had the utmost respect and love for him.  Over the last 33 years I was proud to witness the love and support he gave not only to Camille but also her mom and my future wife Margie.  Later he made Camille's siblings and myself feel like we were family when he really didn't have to.  You must first understand, to me family is the most important thing and I think Roberto knew that even though I'm an American white guy, family was very important to me.   And even though I wanted to adopt Camille and make her my own at least by last name, it was purely out of respect for Roberto and you Leni that I didn't.  I wanted both of you to share in the milestones of her life, especially Roberto.   Leni you may or may not know this, but he cried on the phone with me that day I asked him to walk Camille down the isle to give her away to Henry.  And when he asked my my opinion about the man that would one day marry his granddaughter he took my blessing of the marriage at face value because I knew he trusted my judgement.  I always wanted the two of you to have that connection with her.  I'm so happy he got to live the last 30+ years of his life that way. And since you both were ever present in Camille and Margie's life you were present in mine and Camille's siblings.  That is why you are family, always have and always will be.       

This is such a sad time for all of us.  However, we do take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain or suffering and we know one day we will all see and be with him again.   

Leni know that we are always and we mean always here for you.   You will be in our prayers and thoughts constantly and we love you dearly.
