Born in Olongapo, Philippines on August 14, 1938, Rogelio lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication. After proudly serving in the U.S. Navy, he continued his commitment to hard work and community through a long career with the U.S. Postal Service in San Diego.
Rogelio was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Lea, and a loving father to his five children: Leolah, Lianne, Loreen, Rodney, and Rogelea. He was a proud grandfather to Racquel, Leiza, Alicia, Ashley, Lex, Audrea, Madilyn, Charlize, RJ, AJ, and Edgar, and a joyful great-grandfather to Charlotte. His family was the center of his world, and his presence always brought warmth, laughter, and smiles to those around him.
Outside of work and family, Rogelio found joy in simple pleasures. He was a passionate fisherman during his years in Alameda, an active member of the Mira Mesa Bowling League, a karaoke expert with a song always ready, never missed a baseball game of the San Diego Padres, and was the Los Angeles Lakers’ number one fan. His humor, kindness, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rogelio’s legacy lives on through the family and friends who were blessed by his generosity, wit, and unwavering love.
