Santo (Cal) Calabrese, born 3/17/1934, passed away peacefully on 8/23/2014 after suffering a stroke. Cal hailed from Brooklyn, NY where he met his wife of 57 years. Cal and Mary Ann raised their three children while he worked as a mechanic on New York’s bustling waterfront. Cal and Mary Ann retired to San Diego, CA in 1994 upon the birth of their first grandchild to eldest daughter Lisa and husband Mike. They lived life to the maximum, enjoying travel, family gatherings, Cal's authentic Italian cooking, and the area casinos. Mary Ann, children Lisa, Christine, and Domenic, their loving spouses, grandchildren Stephanie, Antonia, Nicole and Joseph, sister Ida and many in-laws, nieces and nephews will sorely miss his larger than life presence. Services: Wake 8/28/14 from 6-7:30 pm and Funeral Mass 8/29/14 at 10 am at St. Therese of Carmel Valley, 4355 Del Mar Trails Rd, San Diego, CA, 92130.
