Sung Yol Noh passed away at his home on January 20, 2016 at the age of 86. Sung was born on March 28, 1929, in South Korea, the first of six children. He worked for the United Nations to rebuild Korea after the Korean War. He later worked in the construction industry to help build many hospitals and schools in the Middle Eastern countries. He moved his family to the United States in 1980 and ran a small business in Aurora, Illinois. He moved to San Diego area with his son’s family in 1997 where he enjoyed gardening. His passion was reading. You could always find him with a book. Sung is survived by his wife, Bok Soon; three children (Anna, Jang, and Sunna); and eight grandchildren (Lisa, Jon, Michael, Cathy, Cincy, David, Mia, and Erin). The funeral service will be held at El Camino Memorial on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11 am.
