Born on July 3, 1943, Terry lived a full and adventurous life marked by service, love, and curiosity about the world. He graduated from San Diego State University and went on to attend Miguel College. Driven by a sense of duty, he proudly served in the United States Coast Guard.
Following his military service, Terry worked for a large corporation. Always independent and hardworking, he took pride in carving his own path professionally and started his own business in 1980.
In 1969, Terry met the love of his life, Maite, on a blind date. The connection was instant and enduring. They were married on April 30, 1980, and shared a deep bond that lasted over four decades. Together, they nurtured a love for travel and adventure—especially by sea. Terry’s passion for the ocean led them on many cruises, exploring new places and collecting memories around the world.
Some of Terry’s favorite destinations included Holland, Belgium, Spain’s Rioja region, and the charming city of San Sebastián. One of the highlights of his life was flying the Concorde from London to Washington—an experience that reflected his lifelong fascination with travel and innovation.
When he wasn’t exploring the world, Terry enjoyed the comforts of home, cheering on the San Diego Chargers and indulging his passion for cars. He was a true enthusiast, always ready to talk horsepower, classic designs, or the latest automotive trends.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Maite; his sister, Kathi; her husband, Rod; and their son, Clint. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, deep love for his family, and the joy he found in life’s many journeys—both near and far.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
