Vann was born to Bou Long & Tou Chheoun in Battambang, Cambodia and was one of 7 children. Vann lived through the genocide and murderous regime of Pol Pot from 1975 - 1979. Nearly 2 million people were killed. Vann moved to the United States in 1982, and lived in San Diego, CA until the death of Kong, her husband of 43 years in 1995. Vann Long was a loving, caring, compassionate, honest, and generous sister, mother, aunt, grandma, great grandma, and great great grandmother. Her beautiful smile and warm heart will forever be missed.
