Wallace Kevin Smith born on January 12th 1958 to Wallace J and Mary (Chichester) Smith in Tahlequah Oklahoma. He entered the presence of his Lord Jesus on December 17th, 2018. A graduate of Letourneau University, Longview, Texas he is survived by his wife of 35 years Nancy (Peloquin) Smith, son Kyle, of San Diego, daughter Ashley ( Thomas) Lairson, and granddaughter Kylie Nicole of El Cajon, three brothers, Jason of California, Torin of Colorado, and Larry of Oklahoma, and numerous loving relatives. Kevin was noted for his compassion, kindness, intelligence, and devotion.
A 25 year employee of Leidos corporation, he had worked in the space industry from 1981, notably in the Tomahawk Missile Program, and later in GPS systems as a testing engineer.
Kevin's love of basketball as a player extended from his high school days to his final game in 2018. He had enjoyed biking, conquering the San Diego Bay and hills and was an adventurous explorer.
A valiant warrior, loving heart, husband, father, grandfather, friend and son: Our Kevin.
