Yolanda Luisa Muniz Peavy was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by service, warmth, and a joyful competitive spirit. She attended San Diego High School, Yolanda spent her career serving others in various capacities, always putting the needs of family and friends first. Yolanda was an active member of the young girls club, Las Adelitas.
Yolanda was baptized into the Catholic Church as a child and was confirmed as Christina Marie. Later in life, she joined with the Calvary Baptist Church through baptism as a profession of her faith.
In 1977, Yolanda met and married David Peavy Sr. To this union, two children were born, David Jr. and Crystal Marie. In 2008, she became a grandmother to Xavier Gibson who was the light of her life. In 2017, her heart grew when her first granddaughter, Danya Jade was born. Finally her heart overflowed with joy in 2020, when her 2nd granddaughter, Jadyn Danae was born. Yolanda was the most fun grandmother, she enjoyed playing “stinky feet”, “where’s grandma” and play wrestling with her grandson. Xavier, Danya and Jadyn truly were the loves of her life.

She was always ready for any game or contest—whether a short foot race or a rousing round of hide and seek with the children.
