Zahra Alavi

Sudi was born on April 18, 1938, in Iran. From an early age, she showed a deep curiosity and love of learning. She earned a degree in Microbiology and went on to work as a microbiologist at the Department of Health in Iran, where she served her community with dedication and pride.

Sudi found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved reading, traveling, and especially cherished time spent with her family. She was known for her kind, generous, and caring heart, her friendly and social nature, and the warmth she brought into every room. Sudi had deep compassion for others and lived her life guided by love and knowledge.

She is lovingly remembered by her beloved daughters, Noushin Bashir and Katty Bashir; their father, Asghar Bashir; her dear brothers, Mehdi Alavi and Ali Alavi; her devoted son-in-law, Hossein Eftekhari; and her precious grandchildren, Soha, Eilee, Kian, and Armin, who filled her life with boundless joy and light.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM PST, followed by the committal service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM PST at Vista Del Mar, El Camino Memorial – Sorrento Valley, located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, California.

A reception will follow on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 1:30 PM, at Del Mar Seaside Grill by Alborz, located at 1328 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, CA 92014, where family and friends are invited to gather and remember Sudi together.
