Beatrice Tom passed away at the age of 90 on August 18, 2013. She was born on May 2, 1923 in San Francisco and was the second of four children. She lived with her beloved sister Peggy Tom for almost all of her adult life until Peggy passed away earlier this year. Beatrice Tom worked as a bookkeeper at the Buena Vista Cafe in Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco for the past 49 years. In addition to that long service, she worked at Joseph Magnin and was an accomplished singer at a Chinese night club in San Francisco. She even appeared in Chinese movies during that time. Survived by her sister-in-law Marjorie, and nephews Dana (Nancy) and Darryl (Shiho). A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2 pm. HALSTED N.
