Elizabeth Darline Bliss was born in Portland, Oregon. Her parents were Earl Bliss and Fannie Bliss. During her younger years, she lived on a farm near Vancouver, WA where she developed a lifetime love for animals. She lived with her parents until her mother died in 1970. At that time, she moved to San Francisco to live with her sister, Mary Jane Bressler and brother-in-law Eugene Bressler. Elizabeth enjoyed attending the Janet Pomeroy Rehabilitation Center for more than 50 years. She participated in the Special Olympics and won numerous medals. She loved music, especially Broadway Show Tunes. She was especially fond of attending Dog Shows. She showed kindness and graciousness to those around her. Elizabeth had many caregivers over her last 20 years who truly enhanced her life. We are thankful to have been touched by Elizabeth.
