

Kaz, was born and raised in Los Angeles and is a 1985 graduate of the Arizona State University. He spent his professional life committed to architecture and design, and his creativity and integrity helped to make the world a more beautiful place.
Kaz loved to bring friends and colleagues together after a long workday to celebrate life through good food and cocktails, while sharing stories about experiences, restaurants, art and sports. He projected a sense of grace and joy for life, a gift to all who knew him.
Kaz is survived by his Mother Matsumi, Brother Chitoshi, Sister Hiroko, three nieces Annie, Kathie and Ava, and partner Susan.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 19th, 2014, 2pm, at The Buddhist Church of San Francisco, 1881 Pine Street, San Francisco, CA 94109. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate).
