Maria Muschi

Marie Muschi, born on June 17, 1935, in Valli del Pasubio, Italy, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 89 in San Francisco, surrounded by her loving family. Marie's journey began in Italy and took a new course when she immigrated to San Francisco in 1955, where she met and fell in love with Louie Muschi. Their union in 1957 marked the start of a beautiful family life, centered in the Marina District of San Francisco, where they raised their three beloved sons, Mario, Anthony, and John.

A woman of many passions, Marie found joy in knitting, gardening, and cooking. Her love for music was evident in the harmonious gatherings with her family, where she sang alongside Louie and grandchildren Marco, Vincent, and Briana, while her sons filled the air with the melody of the accordion. In Cazadero, her country home was a haven where she cultivated gardens and strolled through nature with her son Mario. Marie's greatest treasure was her grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply and supported wholeheartedly from their earliest days, reveling in their achievements as they grew into successful adults. Above all, Marie will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to family, always placing their needs above her own.

Marie is survived by sons Anthony (Cathe) and John (Lynn), grandchildren Marco, Vincent, and Briana, sister Liliana Zarich, and brother Joe Dal Pra (Lillie), Frank Giomi, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Louie, son Mario, sister Katy Giomi, and brother-in-law Italo Zarich.

A private funeral service will be held in San Francisco by her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salesian Boys and Girls Club, 680 Filbert Street, San Francisco, CA 94133. Marie Muschi's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the enduring bonds of family.

She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
