We miss your Mom very much, Laura, a beautiful , wonderful and ; loving person .


I miss you so much Anne. Your sweet smile, your encouraging words, and being such a wonderful person and friend. You left too soon. I pass by your house all the time and just can’t believe you’re not there.  Until we see each other again, God bless your beautiful soul. 

Anne and I met through a mutual friend in 1990. Thank goodness. I had been dealing with big changes in life and finally arrived at my wits end. Recalling Anne I reached out to her and she began to council me for an hour per week for an entire year. She was the most sincere, caring person I'd ever met up to that point in my 27 years. Anne made me more whole than I'd ever been and 30 years later now I still think of her often and acknowledge my good fortune to have crossed her path. Thank you so much dear lady.

I can earnestly say that I have never met anyone in my life that was as interested, unassuming, nurturing, kind, trustworthy, and truly caring as Anne Schulkin-Zarate - and that includes any family member today.  Anne was beautiful, inside and out.  Week after week - her smile lit up a room.  She was simply a beautiful woman that God placed in my life for a season of time that was incredibly a dark period of my young adult life 35 years ago.  Trusting absolutely no one, Anne patiently guided me through so many things that clouded my thought processing and allowed me to find my strength.  I am as emotionally strong today because of Anne.  She was poised, cultured, high-society worthy and simply loved- loved her children and grandchildren dearly, the symphony, beautiful and eclectic floral arrangements and the absolute best and perfect wine that could be enjoyed whenever the time felt right.   I thank God for allowing Anne Schulkin-Zarate and Dr. Eugene Zarate to be a part of my life.  They are joined again -for eternity- and rest in God's perfect heavenly peaceful place. 

My Dearest Anne,
I can't believe you are gone.. you said "I love you, see you next week sweetie!" We hugged, and I thanked you profusely for our time. You being so humble, insightful and loving to me, I know you didn't expect to have been called to heaven at this time. AlI I can think about now is how helpful and enlightening our last session was but how I must be okay because God wouldnt have called you so soon... so unexpectedly. You have had such a positive impact on me, my husband and my family. I could never express my gratitude to you for all of your time, understanding, insight and wisdom. I am truly blessed that you always made the most extensive efforts to heal my heart and soul. I could never express my gratitude, for you have helped me become the best version of me. I am grateful and so very lucky to have known you and for you to become such a consistent, positive influence in my life. Thank you for always loving me without judgement. I sit here now with tears over flowing, wondering why. I may never understand but I cherish every moment I spent with you and you are sorely missed. My life will never be the same without you but I know you are here, still forever in my heart. Anne, thank you once more, I am a better version of me because of you. Going forward, I will honor you and live accordingly, all of our time will not be in vain. I remain affectionately your biggest admirer. You will be forever in our hearts, Anne our angel.

I met Annie 40 years ago when I was just 19.  Annie was always kind and loving. She never gave up on me. She knew long before I did how it would all end. She gave me a life worth living. I will always love and be grateful for all her many blessings. 

Anne was my angel. I just found out today that she passed away and it breaks my heart that I didn't get to hug her, see her again and tell her I love her. She was the kindest, most generous, understanding and thoughtful person. The world is a much colder place without her in it with us.

Years ago, when I was devastated with sadness, she provided talk therapy for me, listened to me and helped me through a very tough time. She did the unbelievable; she knew I was struggling financially and she asked me only to pay what I could. This was unbelievably kind and generous of her. She never treated me like I was less because I couldn't afford more. Later, when I had more money, I would give it to her. She was like the best kind of family I never had. She was encouraging, loving and patient.

She stoicly suffered through many years of illness and somehow still kept giving to others. She continued to provide help to people on a sliding scale basis, even with her own struggles. She was beyond amazing. I loved her very much.

I feel so honored to have known as kind a soul as Anne and will always treasure my times with her. I only wish I had had more time with her. If there's an afterlife, she deserves to enjoy it with her late husband.
May you rest in peace, my dear Anne.

We first met Anne about 20 years ago when we welcomed her into the Zarate family through our Uncle Gene. Anne was a very classy lady and very loving. 

Thank you Anne for your love and friendship. Time slipped away from us and now you’re in heaven.

Anne, you were absolutely stunning! You had fire in your eyes! You had class! You loved me and you loved my family and friends! You were hysterical! You were strong! You were a proud grandmother! You changed me for the better! I can't believe I am not gonna see you again! You left me psychologically and philosophically wealthy! 

I remember you told me "the Spanish say "THE BEST WORDS ARE THE ONES NEVER SPOKEN"!"

I eternally love you and vision

Anne and I sang in the choir at St. Stephen's church for many years. Anne was lovely, intelligent, kind and fun. 

I always looked forward to spending time together. My husband and I enjoyed her company, her humor, her keen intelligence and her smile. 

Anne was a wonderful lady and friend. We will miss her.  We extend our deepest sympathy to her daughter and family during this sad time.

I found Anne five years ago.  She was my wise, compassionate, generous counselor and friend, supportive and deeply caring until the end. I have never known such a freely giving, caring person.  She always imparted her deep love of her family, children and grandchildren.  Although the shock of her sudden leaving is somewhat blinding, I know time will continue to reveal the depths of how much I will miss her.  She was instrumental in healing my life and showing me the way forward.  Anne was a  very special one of a kind loving person who will live on in the hearts and minds of all she touched.
