Virginia Olayvar was born on August 23rd, 1930 to Basilio Olayver and Agripina (Maglinte) Olayvar in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was one of four children. Her love for her family and extended family was big and she often spoke of them.
With a sense of adventure, Ginny moved to the mainland as a young woman. She fell in love with George Malson the first time they met when he asked her if she liked to dance. She had grown up in Hawaii dancing the hula. George and Ginny danced though almost 40 years together, and many of those years were at the Verdi Club. She was an active Verdiette. She enjoyed a long and successful career with Hartford. Together, she and George traveled, and had a lifetime of adventures.
All who knew her loved her infectious giggle. She was incredibly kind and always put others first. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Basilio Olayver and Agripina (Maglinte) Olayvar, brother Albert Olayvar, sister Jannie Olayvar Amans, nephew Robbie Olayvar.
