I wish I had gotten to know Walter better when we worked together.  I also fondly remember Walter's deep and healing voice.  We worked together for several years at Social Security on Golden Gate and later on Sutter St.  Walter visited me in the east bay just the once before I moved.  Walter was such a fine upstanding man with a keen sense of humor and a beautiful smile.  R.I.P. my friend.  Don

I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out from Mary James, in Sumter, SC that he had passed away.  I remember Walter from Amsterdam Houses in NY and was a guest of his in San Francisco way back in the 1960's.  I can picture him dancing back then as he used to love to dance.  He had a very deep voice and was a very quiet person.  Back then I would be at Edna & Tommy's house every weekend enjoying the camaraderie of the family.  I am very saddened to hear of his passing but I know he is Resting in the Arms of the Lord at the Welcome Table.
