She was born on September 18, 1923 in Shabin village of the Xiqu district, in Chongshan prefecture of Guangdong, China. She was the eldest child of Soon Saer Choy and Ouyang Lin Gum.
She is survived by her three sons: Chan Hing Chuen and wife, Tse Oi Lin Chan, Chen Wen Chao and wife, Chen Sam Mui, and Wayne Chan; and three daughters: Chen Lai Rong and husband, Chen Zhou Jun, Chan Kam Yin and husband, Wong Sai Fan, and Connie Chan Robison and husband, Alan Robison.
She has 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, at last count.
She is also survived by her sister, Lillian Sum and her family.
She was preceded in death by her children, Chan Kun Yuen and Sylvia Chan.
Her family misses her greatly, and wishes to thank everyone for attending these services to remember her and to celebrate her life.
