

Estel Hanson was born in Mabscott, West Virginia on December 5, 1934. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Stationed in Japan, he served his country during the Korean War.
Upon returning to the United States, he joined Certified Grocers, where he dedicated more than 35 years as a warehouseman before retiring.
Estel married his wife, Christina, on October 3, 1959. He was renowned for his strong faith and found great joy in his family, including his two sons, Michael and Damon, and his daughter-in-law, Dinah.
Fishing was Estel’s favorite pastime, a skill and passion he passed on to his sons and others. As a young man, he taught himself to play the guitar, sharing his gift for music by singing and playing for residents of local nursing homes.
Estel was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He will be missed, and his family looks forward to a joyful reunion one day.

A graveside service for Estel will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 11:15 AM Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518. Following the graveside service will be a reception from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Menifee Bible Church, 26815 Murrieta Road, Menifee, CA.
