Madeleine Lea Castillo

Madeleine Lea Castillo passed away on December 10, 2023 in Hemet, California. She was born on July 28, 1959 in Glendora, California to her parents, Connor and Katharine Lucas. She was raised in Glendora and La Verne, California with her three sisters Barbara, Janice, and Nancie.

She moved to San Jacinto, California when she was fifteen years old. At seventeen she met Luis Castillo who she went on to marry on October 29, 1976 in Hemet, California. Madeleine was a dedicated wife who nurtured and cared for her husband. She went on to become an amazing mother to five children. She dedicated her life to being a loving, caring, selfless mother and eventually grandmother to twelve. Her greatest accomplishment was her grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly and would open her home to anytime they were in need.

In her spare time Madeleine enjoyed reading the plethora of mystery books she owned, watching true crime television, baking her delicious and unique recipes that everyone loved, and opening her home to any animal in need that crossed paths with her. She was the biggest animal lover there was. Madeleine enjoyed taking walks and being outside with nature when she could. Her all-time favorite thing to do was care for her small grandchildren, Liam, and Ethan.

She was an amazing woman, wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor; she could take a joke and make a joke. She was a shy person, but full of love. She took care of everything and everyone. She put everyone before herself. She had the biggest heart there ever was.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Connor and Katharine Lucas, her beautiful white bunny Precious.

Madeleine is survived by her husband, Luis Castillo, her children Luis Castillo Jr. and his wife Lupita Castillo, Angela Siegfried and her husband Anthony Siegfried, Daniel Castillo, Jeffrey Castillo, Andrew Castillo, and twelve grandchildren, Shawn, Elena, Isaiah, Saria, Anthony, Elijah, Joseph, Daniel, Kiyana, Caleb, and her babies Liam and Ethan.
