

Adam U. Peralta (37), born June 29, 1974, passed suddenly on August 2, 2011 in an accident in Sacramento, CA. He is survived by his loving parents, Daniel and Rachel Peralta. Beloved brother of Armandina Zamora (Jorge) and Daniel Jr. He is survived by long time girlfriend Christina Bernal and daughter Sophia. Uncle to Rachel, Rebecca and Jorge Zamora Jr.; Great Uncle to Mariela and Jayden Renderos and Emilio Zamora. Beloved Grandson to Marshall and the late Thomasa Soria, preceded in death by Grandparents Daniel Ulibarri and Mercedes Peralta (Florencio). He will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Adam, born in San Jose, grew up in Santa Clara and was later raised in San Jose. He graduated from Yerba Buena High School in San Jose and earned a Paralegal degree from Phillips College. During the past ten years he was employed by the California DMV where he held various positions such as driving test evaluator as well as his most recent job where he updated various departmental forms for the current vehicle code. Not only was he dedicated to his family and friends but also to his pet dogs, Mutley and Puggy whom he enjoyed taking everywhere. Some of the hobbies he was into were painting and collecting Star Wars memorabilia. He was an avid movie enthusiast, had an interest in the history of WWII, and a fan of the World Champion San Francisco Giants. Adam was generous with his time and participated in many fundraisers for different organizations. He belonged to the DMV Bike Club and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with friends. He was probably known most for his love of classic cars, mainly Pontiacs. A member of the Golden Gate Goats, Adam’s most prized possession was his 1966 Pontiac GTO. In addition to fixing and maintaining his other vehicles, he was in the process of doing a bolt-up restoration of a 1962 Grand Prix. He was always willing to lend a hand to his family and friends and touched the lives of the many who knew him. He will truly be missed.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Aug 9, 2011 from 4-9PM with a rosary at 7pm at the Chapel of the Oaks. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Aug 10, 2011 at 10AM at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose, CA.
