

Jimmy, as he was affectionately known as, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more lives that were touched by him in his community. We ask that you remember Jimmy not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived and the profound impact he had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jimmy is survived by his girlfriend of nearly 45 years, Leslie Clark. He loved her dearly. Surviving in addition to Leslie are his nephews Albert Travasso and Tony “Bruce” Travasso and his niece Paula Travasso. He was a great-uncle to Little Alan, Nathan, Jason, Jessica, Brittany and Little Tony. He also had numerous great-great nephews and nieces.
Jimmy was proceeded in death by his parents Albert and Helen Scottese, sister Joanne Travasso, nephew Alan Travasso and ex-wife Louise May.
Jimmy enjoyed working for various companies through out his life. He retired from Orchard Supply Hardware as a custodian/gardening specialist in 2007.
In his earlier years, Jimmy enjoyed competing in Special Olympics, traveling yearly to Disneyland with Leslie and camping. Jimmy looked forward to taking road trips with his dearest and oldest friend Catherine. Later in Life, he enjoyed going out every Saturday for breakfast at Denny’s with Leslie. Jimmy loved to go out and eat. Some of his favorite places were Ticos Tacos, Jalisco’s and Cup & Saucer. Then he learned all about DoorDash! Jimmy was very social and made friends every where he went. He loved to call his friends and family daily. Jimmy was never too far from his cell phone.
The funeral will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home on October 14, 2025. Viewing will be from 9 am to 11 am with services beginning at 11 am. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at Calvary Cemetery. All friends and family are welcome.
