

Antonia Ruivivar Calderon of San Jose, California passed away peacefully on June 25, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her three children: Teresita, Elvie and Pricilla and four grandchildren: Alvin, Anelise, Arielle and Paul Joseph. Antonia was born in Manila, Philippines on February 14, 1925. She attended nursing school, and thereafter she met the father of her children and welcomed three daughters. Antonia was a generous person, opening her home to those who were less fortunate. She was also a businesswoman and ran her own grocery store in Manila. She then immigrated to the United States in the 1980s and worked at Intersil, a semiconductor company in the Silicon Valley, and later on as a caregiver for 10 years before retiring. During the remaining years of her life, Antonia devoted her time to help raise her grandchildren. She was a gentle and kind person, who always cared for the well-being of others. Antonia was known to be a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on July 7 at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
