

Avelino D. Ocampo Jr., 81 of Guagua, Pampanga Philippines passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Regional Medical Center of San Jose, California. Born in Guagua Pampanga Philippines to Avelino P. Ocampo Sr. and Raquel D. Ocampo.
Avelino was an intelligent man who enjoyed Mathematics. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer, planning and estimator at Republic Glass Corporation, Pasig Metro Manila for 20 years. He was a volunteer Mathematics teacher at San Jose Job Corps under the Foster Grandparents Program of San Jose Seniors Council.
Avelino and his surviving wife Julieta Ocampo, immigrate to Oregon and eventually settled in San Jose, California. They were married for 58 years.
Avelino was very proud of his only daughter, Yolanda Powell of Vancouver Washington and her husband Richard Powell. He is also survived by his 6 sons, Ronald Allan, Wilfredo, Geronimo, Danilo and the twins Antonio and Arturo. His 9 grandchildrens, Allan Paul, Prince Nalla, Ralph Miguel, Rojanieh Angela, Aleiza Colin, Ashley Carlene, David Keno Art, Daiana Mae and Jaden Louis. His sisters, Purificacion, Aida, Josefina and his brothers Ernesto and Jose of Guagua, Pampanga Philippines, many loving nieces, nephews and other friends. His daughters-in-law, Nimfa Gonzales, Lorna Lacap, Miriam Ruth Carreon and Jesand Basas.
Avelino was a devoted father, a loving husband to Julieta, a disciplinarian and an avid kite maker. Using his mathematical skills in making sure that his kites are well balanced. He was the problem solver, an Old Grand father. He instilled to his children the value of time, being present and always on time in school and at work. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A memorial service is scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 20, 2021 at the Oak Hill Funeral Homes Chapel of the Oaks. Bishop Melvin Flores of God is Able Ministries International will officiate.
