

Callie Janice Paull, known to family and friends her whole life as Janice or Jan, was the only daughter of Callie Parsons & William Paull. Janice was born in San Jose and lived most her life in the house her parents built in Willow Glen.
Janice attended Willow Glen Grammar School, Campbell High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from San Jose State and her Masters in Zoology from Mills College. She worked for Stanford University Medical School in the Pathology and Dermatology Laboratories for 25 years.
She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Church, where her parents were married and she was baptized and confirmed. Her Masonic organizations included being a Charter member of Bethel 129, Job’s Daughters International, she joined San Jose Chapter 31 Order of the Eastern Star and was an 81 year member. She worked for many years in the Cancer Dressing station which is still active making Quilts and Port Pals.
Janice’s interest was in Conservation, local history and Genealogy. The California Nature Society gave her a breadth of knowledge that she gladly passed on. She enjoyed traveling in her 1955 Volkswagen Bug named Lady Bug.
A Memorial Service will be held in celebration of Janice’s life on Thursday February 12, 2026, at
11:00 AM at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 81 North Second Street, San Jose, CA 95113. The family thanks Esther’s Residential Care for the love and support for Janice’s Care. Special thanks to Adonna Amoroso, her neighbor and constant caregiver, for her time and love for Janice.
