Our Beloved Nanay, Carolina D. Antonio, age 88, died in the comfort of her home, on Saturday, April 9, 2011. Born October 26, 1922, in Bayambang, Pangasinan, Philippines, she lived in Binalonan and Manila before settling in San Jose, California. While her husband, Santiago Antonio, left to work in Guam, she ran the household being both nurturer and disciplinarian for her two sons and daughter. She took pride in helping raise all of her grandchildren–teaching them life lessons, most especially how to love one another. She is survived by her loving husband, Santiago Antonio, and her children Rodolfo Antonio, Arturo Antonio and Viola Heraldo. She is a very proud grandmother of Melanie Johnson, Rollie Antonio, Rudelie Perez, Vernadette Oye, Kimberly Antonio-Hopkins, Aimee Tijerina, Ray Heraldo, Timothy Heraldo and Stephen
Heraldo. To all, she is simply known as Nanay.
