Charles Robbie Michael "Robbie" Roberts

Robbie passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015. He was a kind and generous man who was respected and loved by everyone he met. Robbie was born and raised in Iowa, where he graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1954. He served in the US Navy from 1954 -1958. Robbie settled in California, where he met and married his wife Kathy. Together they resided in Santa Clara and raised their family. Robbie made a career in the electronics field, owning his own business for most of those years. Upon “retiring” he held various positions at the American Legion Post 564, Fleet Reserve and Mission City Charities. He was never one to stand still and loved being around others.

Robbie is predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Kathy, his parents, Art and Grace, three brothers, Lucky, Jim and Wayne and one sister, Phyllis Kay. Robbie will be missed by his two sisters, Ruth and Helen and his brother, Pat; five children, Steve, Karen (Steve), Patti (Rupert), Mary Dawn (Vinny) and Kim (Joe); his grandchildren, Kristin, Brianna (Michael), Mathew, Courtney, Melissa, Taylor, Sara and Megan; and his great-grandchildren, Lilianna, Kylie, Michelle and Angelina. Robbie was also loved by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was a one of kind man and made friends wherever he went.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 3:00 pm at American Legion Mission City Post #564 located at 2120 Walsh Avenue in Santa Clara.
