I remember Cheryl from the District Office.  I once had the occasion  to visit Cheryl and Al in their home. I can't remember why exactly I went to her home.  I do recall us spending the evening together talking about their ministry and sharing our faith in God.  I was truly surprised and saddened to hear of Cheryl's passing.  May God keep her family safe and give them peace.  There's another angel in Paradise.

I met Cheryl 20 years ago when I worked in the ELD department. She was always helpful, knowledgeable, sweet and blunt! Even when I left the district, I would run into her randomly around the neighborhood or while out to eat.  When my kids started school and I had questions, I’d call her.  Her spirit was unique and I was drawn and connected to that.  The last time I spoke to her she told me she was retiring.  I hadn’t seen her around in a while so I decided to look her up (I don’t have social media) and found that she passed on, this brought me great sadness.  Cheryl you left a mark on everyone you touched, in ELD, the kids of our community and in my life! I know you are here in spirit and that you are dancing with the Lord right now as I write this. God bless you and your family, you truly accomplished what you were meant to do here! Much love, see you in heaven! 

Cheryl and I met through work. She was one of the kindest people that I know. Always willing to help someone, and so very good at her job. She had the sweetest personality and so much love for her family, and especially her grand children, she always had a story to tell. You will be missed my dear friend,

I became acquainted with Cheryl when we both worked for the school district, but we became friends during our Monday morning coffee chats. We have missed her terribly, especially her hugs and loving ways. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Still remember our “Old days in ELD”. We had a very effective problem solving technique.
It was easier,  better and faster than (nowadays) internet/google search :
 “Call Cheryl” !! 
We all knew that whatever questions or troubles we got, she would always use her calm voice to say “All right, give me a minute and I’ll find out”.  Thanks Cheryl, you were the soul of ELD! You will be missed by all of us!! 🙏🙏💕

When I started in the ELD program, Cheryl was always there to help, answer questions, and just be a light to our ELD program.  So kind hearted. When we had special get togethers, she brought goody bags for the staff’s children 

I was so sorry to hear of Cheryl's passing. My condolences to her family. Cheryl was always a bright spot whenever I visited the D.O. She was always fun to chat with, helpful, and her smile and candy dish were always present. I had the privilege of meeting her granddaughter at story time this last spring at the Family Resource Center at KSmith and I can attest that she had a lot to be proud about with her family!

Cheryl and I met more than 25 years ago through work. For many years we worked together in the same office and bonded over our love for family, especially our grandchildren. She was always dressed to the nines and smiling, with a bowl of candy at her desk for others to enjoy. She was thoughtful, warm and helpful. She will be missed greatly. Rest In Peace, dear friend. 

I met Cheryl when I worked at Quimby. I went over to her office monthly to drop off ELAC meeting items. We grew close bc of these monthly visits. Not only did the woman know her stuff, Cheryl was a genuine and kind-hearted person with a lot of integrity. She was what I called "sunshine" and an angel on Earth. I'm so bummed that I didn't get to see her during retirement...she was suppose to meet my son. Condolences to her family, I'm praying for all of you. Love you, Cheryl. My heart is broken. ❤️

Clarissa was about 2 months old and we brought her down to San Jose to see her grandma and grandpa.     Great grandma came up and just held her and wouldn't let go. Great grampa owl wanted to hold or to however he waited. Grandma looked up at me and said it's not every woman who can say she became a grandma in a great grandma in the same year. We will love and miss you so very much!!

Condolences to your family.... Cheryl was always so nice to me.  She was so helpful and knew her stuff.  I was happy for her when she retired, and would often see her around town, like at Lucky's  ; ).  She always talked about her grandkids... she was so proud of them!  Heaven received another angel in her, as she was angel for all of us here!  She'll be missed!  

I will miss Cheryl dearly. She was a hard working woman. I worked alongside with her for Parent University and she was very efficient. She was always there for myself and Josefina.She always showed gratitude for the work we done. We went a couple of times out to eat with her and had a great time. She had a lot of faith and was very sweet. Heaven has gained a wonderful woman. My prayers to her family.

Cheryl, I've missed you since you retired and miss you even more today. Your kindness, love and support you showered me with will always stay in my heart. 

Cheryl, I will miss you. I always appreciated your kind support, your knowledge, and your can-do attitude. You, my dear, made many of our jobs easier and more enjoyable. For that I thank you. Heaven has gained one spunky lady!

Cheryl, you will be missed.  Thanks for always sharing God's love with me and adding a smile to my day in one way or another when I was in the office.  May God's love and peace cover your family and loved ones, knowing that you are now peacefully rejoicing for eternity!  

Cheryl was one of the kindest, caring and loving people I've had the honor to work with the over the last 19 years.  She will be missed so very much by so many whose lives she's touched.  I'm grateful to have known her and she will never be forgotten.  God bless you, Cheryl, and her beautiful family she loved so much.     Sue Escobar

She always made me laugh, sometimes through our side comments about our work and our workload;).  She knew all the answers to my questions or would find out and get back to me. You could always depend on her and trust her and I truly missed her when she left. She admired a summer hat I wore one time and I searched to find her a similar one, she was so surprised because she did not expect 'Thank Yous', she did what she did because it was right. She was always so pleasant and so very helpful to all. 
 Cheryl epitomized hard work and dedication to the Evergreen School District. She served our district well, but more importantly, she was a woman of faith who is at peace, serving in the highest way possible. I will remember her fondly. 

Dear Al, Dave, Christine, Michael and the two beautiful granddaughters who were Cheryl’s pride and joy,

My thoughts are with all of you at this time.  I pray you will find comfort in the many memories you have of Cheryl and in knowing how much she loved you.  Anyone who knew Cheryl,  knew she was a woman of strong faith, and also knew how much she loved her family.  Her granddaughters were her greatest joy and she loved sharing about their accomplishments.  Gather strength from God and one another.  Know that each of you made her so very proud and equally as happy.  May God bless all of you!

Cheryl was such a wonderful and efficient secretary for the Evergreen EL department.  She was my secretary for many years.  She was great worker and she loved the students and she took such good care of me. 

 I was so sad  when she retired and I did get  to see her on occasion at Lucky's.    But ....she has been called home to continue her great work.  I will miss seeing her at Lucky's.
