With heavy hearts we announce the passing of long time San Jose resident Earleen Marie Jacobs Moe. Born in Seattle, WA Oct 3, 1942. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Married to her best friend and partner in life, Richard Moe, for well over 50 years.
Earleen fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. We are comforted by the fact she is no longer in pain & can rest peacefully.
Her greatest joy was long hikes/walks & being outdoors with nature, whether local parks like Santa Teresa or trips to Yosemite.
Throughout her adult life she was very active accomplishing several 100 mile bicycle rides throughout the state. She also enjoyed family vacations camping, to Disneyland and later in life a bicycle trip into Mexico. She also went on a cruise to Alaska, a trip to Washington DC with a tour of White House, plus more.
She looked forward to welcoming family member visits with special meals throughout the year and at holidays. She enjoyed vegetarian cooking and baking.
She took great pride in running an efficient & organized household as well as caring for family member’s health through healthy nutrition/meals.
She is survived by her husband Richard Moe, her daughter Tammy Moe & son Jeffery Moe. Also by her sister Joyce Jacobs Reed.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer.
