On the early morning of July 12, 2019, we received word that our Patriarch and beloved Grandfather Eduardo "Don Lalo" Pina had passed. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years Irene Pina as well as his children Maria, Eduardo Jr, Sandra, Bertha, and Norma, also his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he left many great memories and instilled a multitude of life lessons.
Don Lalo was a good Father and Grandfather. Always gave what he could and did whatever was in his ability. You could always count on our "Papi Lalo" (the chosen nickname all his grandkids used) when he was an able bodied man.
Don Lalo was an immigrant whom came through the Bracero program to find and provide a better life for his family and eventually becoming a Citizen of the United States. He was also a loyal employee that retired after many, many years working at the Del Monte Cannery.
Unfortunately, our beloved Grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's & Dementia years ago. His family did the best they could for many years, but when it became a matter of better care that he needed. He was in a facility where he was able to make friends, and was constantly visited by his Children. Although, the man he used to be was taken years ago, he was still our Papi Lalo. Unfortunately, it was time for him to meet his savior. May you Rest In Paradise, we love and will miss you dearly.
