

ERNESTO TREVINO, 67, peacefully passed away Friday, April 14th, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Stockton, California following a brief battle with cancer surrounded by friends and family. Born and raised in Harlingen, TX. The son of Carlotta Quiroz and Raul Trevino, Ernesto was raised by his grandmother Andrea, who taught him the great value of hard work and the importance of family. After her passing, he moved to San Jose, CA which became his home for almost 42 years before moving to Stockton, CA in 2006. During his time in San Jose, he worked several jobs, before landing his position as a Coach Operator for Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). He worked for VTA for 25 years, a job that filled him with pride and honor, making long lasting friendships and leaving his mark with the company before retiring in 2013. Ernesto Trevino, also known as Ernest or “Ernie” by friends and family, is remembered for his friendly demeanor, his love for his family, compassion for animals and his avid passion as an angler. His sudden passing left such immense grief with his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends as well as his many nephews and nieces who looked up to him as their father. They all cherished the good memories they have of him.
He leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Obdulia Vanessa Trevino, his four children from two previous marriages; Timoteo Trevino; Christina Harris, her husband Ken Harris; Ernesto Trevino Jr, his wife Mary-Helen Trevino and Charlene A. Trevino; sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, and friends.
His funeral service visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27th from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. A final visitation will be on Friday, April 28th at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, follow by a religious service from 11:00 AM to noon. His burial will commence at noon at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose, CA.
