Eustaquio Ed Camposagrado Merced

Eustaquio (Ed) Camposagrado Merced passed away at the age of 96 on September 12, 2023 in San Jose, CA.

Ed is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carol, daughters Debbie (Bob), Terry, Nancy and Penny (Arnel); grandchildren Janina, Daniel, Anna Lissa, Jessica, Anjelika and Melissa; great grandchildren Genevieve, Sebastian, Amparo and Malachi. He is also survived by his brother Guillermo Merced.

He was born on December 11, 1926 in Silang, Cavite, Philippines, son of the late Jacinto Reyes Merced and Rufina Garcia Camposagrado. He was preceded in death by 7 siblings Patrolilo, Luis, Emilio, Leticia, Elenor, Maximino and Melquiades.

Ed enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1945 and retired in 1965 as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a hardworking man who continued to work for several companies, including jobs in Vietnam and Iran before retiring again in 1992.

Ed was an excellent chef who loved his fruit and vegetable garden and koi pond. He enjoyed cruising with his wife Carol, boasting 34 cruises under his belt. He loved a good poker game with family and friends, a quick trip to the casino and was an avid San Francisco Giants fan. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, daddy and papa.

For all those who knew and loved him, we embrace the memories and remember his love. He lived a long and wonderful life and his spirit will live in our hearts forever. He will be truly missed.

Viewing and memorial services will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home, San Jose, CA on October 14, 2023 from 9AM-8PM. Funeral services will be on October 15, 2023 at 9:30AM.
