Gilbert Salas passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2025, at the age of 58, surrounded by his wife and family. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a cherished friend. Gilbert lived with integrity, loyalty, strength, and generosity, and those qualities were felt by everyone who knew him.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Sharlette Salas; his grandparents, Arturo and Agnes Narvaiz; and John and Esther Salas and his brother Marcus Salas.
Gilbert was a proud and devoted father to Salina Salas, Alyssa St. Pierre, Matthew Salas, Robert Salas, Lauren Valenzuela, Krysten Salas, and Jacob Salas. His love for his children was constant and deeply felt. He was also a devoted grandfather to Matthew Salas Jr., Nicholas (Nico) St. Pierre, and Vincent (Vinny) St. Pierre, who brought him immense joy and pride.
He had a deep appreciation for classic cars and lowriding, especially his cherished 1976 Caprice Classics, which reflected his timeless style and attention to detail. His individuality and pride were evident in everything he did.
At the center of Gilbert’s life was the family he built with his wife of 31 years, Christine Salas. Their marriage was grounded in love, devotion, and unwavering support for one another.
Gilbert will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, extended family—including his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins— and his brother Jason Salas and the many friends whose lives he touched.
