I want to honor Mr. Fortune as the mother of Dr. John Fortune, my mentor at Kaiser for all of my 15 years here.  He has supported, taught, and been very patient with me over the years.  I met his Mom only a few times, but she seemed to be a lovely person.  Sue Houchen

So sorry to hear about your loss. I didn't know this sweet lady, but I may have known her husband George. Is this the same George F. Fortune who was captain of my ship LSMR 408 when I was in the NAVY (1944-48)?  
Sounds as if she had a very loving family and will be missed by all who knew her.
