He was 54 years old.
He is survived by his wife Franlinda Khuon and her mother Maline Kim, who lived with the couple; his parents Robert and Sharon Storey, of Santa Rosa; his oldest daughter, Mikila Duke, her husband Connor, and their children Corbin, Cason, and Kinsley, of Sunnyvale; son Christopher Storey, of Pacifica; and youngest daughter, Holly Storey, of Sunnyvale; his sister, Tina Burgan, her husband Richard, of Mountain View and their children; and his brother, Phillip Storey and his wife Jayne, of Richmond, Virginia.
Jeff was a devoted father and grandfather, maintaining a close and loving bond with each of his children and their families. He adored his family and each of them knew it. For many years, Jeff’s home was the hub where family would gather frequently from around the Bay Area.
Jeff enjoyed music, camping, hiking, biking, and travel. He had a paper route as a young boy and became an Eagle Scout, building a strong work ethic. He spent two years in Japan as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a young man and was mostly recently a member of the Willow Glen Ward of the LDS Church. He participated in Kiwanis Club. He was a C.P.A., like his father, and practiced in San Francisco with his business partner of 20 years, Joseph Clare.
The past few years were perhaps the happiest of Jeff’s life. He and Franlinda fell in love and cherished each other through three short years of marriage until his passing. They enjoyed hosting family gatherings, long weekend rides on their tandem bike, cheering the San Francisco Giants, and traveling.
Anyone who associated with Jeff will miss his quiet goodness, his loyalty, hard work, determination, kind and generous heart, and delightful sense of humor. He has left a huge hole in the heart of his family, but through the grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ, they look forward to a joyous and enduring reunion with him.
