Jesse Perez Jr.

Jesse Perez, Jr. was born on February 16, 1960 in San Jose. Jesse (aka Jay aka JJ) made many friends as he grew up, staying in touch with them throughout his life, often attending Spring Training and Oakland Raider and SF Giants games with them. His passion for the Raiders began when he attended his first game with his big sister Cece.

Jesse graduated from Del Mar High School, received an AS Degree from West Valley College and a BS from San Jose State University where he became a proud Sigma Chi. He spent many years in the Insurance Industry until retirement.

Jesse and Sheri (Oamek) met at work and bonded during company softball games; they married in Lake Tahoe and enjoyed over 30 years of love and friendship.

Jesse was the epitome of a protective father to their three daughters. He transported them to every school, athletic and work activity imaginable; volunteering and chaperoning when possible. His Big Bear Personality often struck fear in the eyes of their Suitors. He wanted nothing more than for his young ladies to be successful in life.

Jesse leaves behind his Wife Sheri, Daughters Samantha, Emily and Cecilia, Brothers Dave and Rudy, and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Carmen Perez and his sister Cecelia. He passed away unexpectedly from heart related complications on July 7, 2025 at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

Family and friends are invited to attend Memorial Service on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Parish, 200 O'Connor Drive, San Jose. Reception to follow at Jesse's childhood home. All family and friends are welcome.
