Dear Uncle Buddy,
As you are laid to rest today, I want to thank you for all the years of military service you gave to the United States of America.  I especially want to thank you for being my 'stand-in-dad' and walking me down the aisle at my wedding.  Although you had thanked me for providing the opportunity, it is one of my most cherished memories of you.  Thank you for all the glasses of red wine we drank whenever you and Aunty Valmar was in town and visiting Mom and Alex.  Your sons and Aunty Valmar selected the most memorable picture of you; as we saw it all our lives sitting on Grandma's ("mommy's mommy)dresser.  God bless you Uncle Buddy with eternal life; and may your soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace.
