Lowell was, above all, a devoted family man and a man of deep faith. His greatest wish was that all his children, grandchildren, and their families would know and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Lowell believed deeply in serving his country. He lived by a disciplined approach, always accountable for his actions, and encouraged others to try hard, never give up, and—if you fail—try harder. He believed in doing your best in whatever you do, in always providing for others, and in giving back and offering a helping hand to those less fortunate.
As kids, Sundays were special — we all dressed in our “Sunday clothes,” complete with clip-on ties, and went to church together. Our parents raised us with strong morals, faith, and love. Dad was always present and active in our lives, whether it was Boy Scouts, sports, soccer, baseball, football, or music.
Family vacations were some of our fondest memories — traveling by trailer through Northern California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Canada. One of Dad’s favorite destinations was always Yosemite National Park, where he found peace and joy in nature’s beauty.
He was a wonderful father, husband, friend, mentor, and a man we could always turn to for wisdom and guidance. We are forever grateful for his love, his faith, and the many lessons he taught us.
We will continue to honor and love our Dad, Papa, Pa, and, in our mother’s words, her beloved husband.
Celebration of Life
Please join us in celebrating the life of our beloved father, relative, friend, and mentor.
We will gather after the service at 4:00 PM for light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, and invite you to bring a favorite memory or story to share as we honor his life and legacy.
